I want a website, I have some ideas but how do I get started?

Firstly, you need a name for your website, a domain name. for example http://www.yourwebsite.com. This will be called your website url (uniform resource locator) and it must be unique as it will be what people type in to their address bar to access your website. To find out if your chosen domain name is available, we carry out domain name availability search. However, the internet is vast with some 1.6 billion websites out there and many domain names will not be available. So you have to think of a name that is relevant but unique. Once you have found a name that you are happy with, you can then register that name so that nobody else can use it.

Next step is web hosting. All websites (that is, all the files, images, databases etc. that make up the website) are stored on a web server. A web server is a storage device (a computer) that is continuously connected to the internet. Almost the entire structure of the internet is based on a client-server model - millions of computers throughout the world connected to the internet.
You want your website to be available 24/7 and you want it to able to cope with more than one visitor at any one time. As we have said, all of your website's files will be uploaded and stored on a server, this is known as web hosting. In return for a monthly fee the hosting company make your website available 24/7 and give it the capacity for many simultaneous users.

Now with the technical stuff out of the way, lets get down to designing and building your website. You may have already have a picture of how your website will look, the colours, the layout, the feel etc., but if not, have a look at a few of your competitors websites or websites of a similar theme. If one particular site catches your eye, we can design your site with the similar feel or design.

We have a selection of pre-made websites designs that can be easily customised with your images and text. 

Or you may want to have a look at our content management system (CMS) based websites. With this option you have full control on updated, adding pages etc with its user-friendly back-end administration feature. You can even change the complete look and feel of the website by simply changing the template form the hundreds available either from us or widely available on the internet - many are free.

Our Knowlegde base includes articles and step-by-step tutorials on every aspect of developing, updating and mainting your CMS website. In addition, our clients have our access to our tecnical support department for help and advice, free script instalation, trouble-shooting etc.
